CareFold® is a neonatal mattress-carrier for NICUs that supports gentle care, safe handling, and calm positioning of pre-born children. Designed for everyday clinical use, it helps reduce handling and supports secure positioning of tubes and wires within existing care routines.

The idea for the CareFold® mattress came from the observation study at Aalborg University Hospital done by Kristine Kuni Buccoliero, Zohaib Akhtar and Maria Hvidberg Petersen during their year at the BioMedical Design programme 2021-2022.

Today Kristine Kuni Buccoliero is CEO and founder of the company NeoCare Nordic developing and selling the CareFold® mattress.
